CIT Utah Regional Coordinator
Jed Burton is the Director of Clinical Services at Weber Human Services in Ogden, Utah. He has worked at Weber Human Services over the past eighteen years and is dedicated to providing resources to those who are underserved.
Jed attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. He went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.
Jed has served on many committees over the past several years. He is a member of the Weber Coalition for a Healthy Community Governing Board and serves as the Chairperson of the Clinical Sub-Committee on the Utah Behavioral Healthcare Committee. He is also member of the Healthy Mom’s Committee, the PAAG Board of Directors, the First Episode Psychosis (FEP) statewide committee, and is proud to serve on the CIT Utah, Inc. Board of Directors.
Jed has been a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Coordinator for Weber County since 2006. He spends weeks each year providing training to local law enforcement on how to deal most effectively with individuals who have a mental illness. Jed has a full understanding of how highly effective CIT has been across the state and has led to more empathy and respect toward those who have a mental illness. Jed looks forward to taking the program to the next level.
