Join us for this year's conference!

This year's CIT Utah Conference brings together law enforcement, behavioral health, people with lived experience, family members and advocates, community leaders, and governmental entities to learn and discuss the crisis response services in Utah.

Presentations:

  • "What If Everything You Knew About Burnout Was Wrong?" Brian Miller, PhD, author of Reducing Secondary Traumatic Stress
  • "My Experience with Psychosis and How You Can Help." Julie Hardle, CPSS, Commissioner, Utah Behavioral Health Commission.
  • "Civil Commitment Laws and Ethical Considerations." LeAnne Huff, CMHC, Crisis Administrator, Office of Substance Use and Mental Health.
  • "Courts and Case Law Regarding Use of Force in a Mental Health Crisis." Troy Rawlings, JD, Davis County Attorney.

Attendance at this conference is accepted for POST continuing education and CIT Utah continuing education requirements, as well as 5.3 CEU's (approved by NASW - Utah Chapter) and Continuing Education for Certified Peer Support Specialists.
